Howler monkeys are a type of monkey. The reason they are called Howler monkeys is because of there loud howls they make they can do it from the start of the day till night time. this monkeys sound can travel 3miles [thats a very long way].
When the males monkey howl they are yelleing to protect there land and turf. When a group of monkeys are together they never make the same pattern when they howl. At the zoo the zoo keepers can record there howls. Monkeys hang out in the tops of trees with very green leaves. If you are in the rainforest and there is flying fruit, thats is how you can tell the monkeys ar ecolse or they are in the trees above.[goodluck if you come across them]
